It’s probably no surprise to you that real estate agents love to network. And we’re no different! We love getting to meet and connect with realtors from all across the country. One of our favorite places to meet other agents has been the Generation Blue real estate conference, where we get to have lots of in-person face time with agents from all over the nation.
This means we’re ready to recommend you a real estate agent anywhere in the country!
For us, it’s not just about referring you out to the first person we can think of in another market. We do our homework first, and we have an in-depth vetting process in place. It’s super important to us that we are recommending an agent that is going to offer you the same high-quality experience that we would provide you with. We want you to have a Society Northwest experience in any market!
All too often, past clients will reach out to us when they’re buying or selling a home in another market because they’re working with an agent who is not providing them with the care they need. In these situations, our past clients will ask us for advice and need guidance beyond what their current agent is able to provide them with. We’re always happy to offer our insight and help in these situations.
However, we’d much rather you have a fantastic experience from the start!
Recently, a past client (who was buying a home in a different market) reached out to us because their agent wasn’t supporting them enough. We talked them through the situation, but in the process we all realized that what our past client really needed was a different real estate agent.
We were able to connect them with an agent in their market that we knew we could all trust. (Of course, we never want to pull a client away from their agent. But our past client was going to find someone new anyway, and we wanted to make sure their next experience was an excellent one.)
In the end, they were able to get the house they wanted, and it was so fulfilling for us to know we had majorly helped our client through a tough situation.
If you know us personally, then you know that we love what we do. It makes us happy to see buyers and sellers receive the level of support and professionalism that they deserve. And it gives our industry a better name when people are having positive experiences with realtors. Win, win!
“I Need a Recommendation for an Amazing Real Estate Agent. What Happens Next?”
If you need a referral for an agent outside of our market, we’re ready to help. BTW, you don’t have to be a past client of ours to benefit from this—we will help anyone. We’d love to meet you!
First, let’s have a quick call.
We want to make sure that we understand your specific needs. Where are you buying or selling? What type of home are you buying or selling? Before we find you the right realtor, we need to understand what expertise will be necessary.
Once we have a good understanding of your wants and needs, we’ll dive into our vetting process.
We have a few different strategies for finding the best agent for you:
We attend conferences with agents from across the country.
This means we get in-person face time with many other agents.
We get access to luxury-specific real estate resources.
Since we’ve always worked with clients in the high-end luxury market, we also get invited to mixers and functions at conferences that are offered only to agents who qualify. Getting to meet agents who work at the same service level is a valuable opportunity for us, and we get to pass along this benefit to our clients and referrals.
We do in-depth research for you.
If we don’t know the best agent for your needs right away, we have a tried-and-true process for dialing in on a 5-star referral for you:
- We connect with other real estate professionals in private agent groups we’re in to start getting a sense of who we should start reaching out to.
- If we know an agent in a market close to the one you need a rec in, we’ll reach out to them first. For example, if I need an agent in the OC and I know a great agent in LA, the LA agent can give me some recs and point me in the right direction. Who would they send their clients to in the OC? What are the agents’ reputations like in the area?
- We also research the market you’re buying or selling in to see who is doing business in that area. Not only do we look at productivity levels, but we look at the types of homes an agent has sold, what specific areas their primary expertise is in, and we’ll spend time on their websites and social media to learn more, too.
- Once we’ve narrowed it down, we meet with the agents and interview them to see if we believe they’ll be an excellent fit for you.
… Then we make an introduction!
We are always a resource for your real estate needs. We promise, it’s not bothersome or a burden when you reach out to us with questions or a need for recommendations. It brings us joy to be able to support you like this. It’s also helpful to our business to connect you with other agents!
If you have any questions or need a recommendation for a real estate agent, reach out! We’re always happy to chat.
