7 Things to Know About the Brand New Shoreline Place Urban Village

What is Shoreline Place? This brand new urban village in Shoreline, Washington is a residential and commercial hub. Apartments, shopping, restaurants, open-air plazas and community spaces, a dog park, transit options, and much more are all in the works!

If you’ve driven by this development in the works and have been curious about what’s coming, we’ve got the details.

Here are 7 quick facts about Shoreline Place:

1. Shoreline Place is located on 17 acres at what was once known as Aurora Square.

It’s where the old Sears was built in the 1960s, and it’s right off of Aurora Ave (Highway 99).

2. There’s a ton of new dining and shopping options coming to Shoreline Place.

Currently there are two anchor stores: Town & Country Market and Marshall’s. Other businesses coming to this urban center include MOD Pizza, Pure Barre, Mustache Milk Tea, T’Zen Lounge Nail Spa, Big Chicken, Pet Evolution, Bank of America, The Salvation Army, Goldfish Swim School, Zoomcare, Mathnasium, Chipotle, and more!

3. Shoreline Place is the new home of the Shoreline Farmers Market.

This farmers market is a highlight of warmer months for locals, and there’s a large variety of vendors. Find farm fresh produce, flowers, baked goods, food trucks, kids activities, and live music.

4. Outdoor community spaces are perfect for meeting your neighbors.

This community-focused development includes open-air park-like spaces, a dog park, and outdoor dining areas.

5. 1,500 new multifamily apartments are coming to Shoreline Place.

There will be everything from studios to 4-bedroom apartments, as well as a selection of affordable housing options.

6. Shoreline Place is close to several transit options.

King County Metro’s RapidRide E Line runs along the development, and the great thing about the RapidRide lines is that they don’t stop at as many bus stops as typical lines. They run between popular commuter hubs and are more frequent, giving commuters a speedier trip! Shoreline Place also connects to the Interurban Bike Trail (a 24-mile trail that connected Seattle and Everett).

7. New Shoreline Link Light Rail Stations are coming soon.

There are two light rail stations coming to Shoreline that are located one mile from Shoreline Place. One is at 185th off I-5, and the other is at 145th off I-5. These light rail stops are still under construction.
